At just 21 years old, James King is the epitome of
urban chic. Hip and alluring, James began her modeling
career seven years ago. James was discovered in 1993
by a model scout who invited her to New York to meet
with some photographers and at 15 she had already worked
with the likes of Ellen von Unwerth, Francesco Scavullo
and Mario Sorrenti. A year later she appeared on the
covers of Glamour, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and Elle.
This 5'8" Nebraska born-and-bred beauty, has not
only been seen on MTV's House of Style, but is often
spotted at the latest and greatest New York City hot
spots like the Hudson Hotel, Lotus and Spa with her
newest boyfriend, Kid Rock.
When she's not working, James enjoys taking photographs,
writing and listening to music. Her favorite music is
hip-hop but she also enjoys listening to all types of
music. Some of her favorite artists are Wu-Tang Clan,
Britney Spears and Fiona Apple. She also enjoys working
out, which she now claims makes her feel like a totally
different person both physically and emotionally.
James appeared in GUESS Collection ads in 1996 along
with fellow model Rhea Durham. Shot by famed photographer,
Dewey Nicks, the images were clean and sophisticated.

James landed the supporting lead role in the Jerry
Bruckheimer film "Pearl Harbor." She will
play nurse Betty opposite Ben Affleck and is due to
be released in August of 2001.
In addition, James will appear in a film called "Blow"
directed by Ted Demme. She will co-star in the film
with Johnny Depp.
