Isla first wanted to be an actor when she was 4 years of age. She saw an old Elvis movie and knew that she wanted to be an actress. By the time Isla started school the acting bug was still biting, but her parent's encouraged her to concentrate on her studies. But Isla was more determined than ever, and by this time she was 11 and had found herself an agent! Her first acting jobs were TV commercials, then she received her first role in the children's television mini-series "Bay City" When she was 17 Isla moved to the Gold Coast to take a role on Paradise Beach. When that soap came to an end, Isla moved to Sydney to play the role of "Shannon Reed" on Home and Away.
