Isabella Rossellini's father was 'Roberto Rossellini', one of Italy's greatest directors, and her mother was the luminous 'Ingrid Bergman'.

Isabella Rossellini put up a good fight against her so called "cinematic chromosomes"; she taught and translated Italian, and was a New York correspondent for Italian television. Bearing a strong resemblance to her mother, Isabella's beautiful face appeared on more than 500 magazine covers and in countless commercials before showing up on the American silver screen.

Isabella married director 'Martin Scorsese', and later took up with director 'David Lynch' after he cast her in a stunningly kinky part in Blue Velvet.
