Alyson Hannigan is comfortable hamming it up in front of a camera. She's been doing just that since she began posing for her photographer parents' ads in Washington, D.C. Her parents divorced when Alyson was two, and when she was four, her mother moved with her to Atlanta, where she began acting and appearing in commercials. Her first ad was a print ad for Delta, and soon to follow were ads for Six Flags, Oreos, and McDonald's.

When Alyson was eleven, she convinced her mother to move to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career, and she soon landed a role in My Stepmother is an Alien, with Kim Basinger and Dan Akroyd. Seth Green, who plays her boyfriend on Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, also played her boyfriend in that movie.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer premiered in March, 1997, and Alyson's been playing the weekly role of everyone's favorite schoolgirl, Willow Rosenberg, ever since.

In 1998, Alyson played Lucy in Dead Man on Campus, but it was 1999's American Pie that was her breakthrough film role. Everyone now knows Alyson as Michelle, the "One time, at band camp" girl, from American Pie.

Boys and Girls, in 2000, was barely noticed, but it looks like American Pie 2 will offer her some much deserved attention. Look for Alyson soon in Beyond City Limits.

Offscreen, Alyson is a great lover and protector of animals, and lives with three dogs, a cat, and two mice. She sports three tatoos, loves purple and beanie babies, of which she has a large collection. Her boyfriend is Alexis Denisof, (Wesley of Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, and Angel.) She lives in L.A., where she works on the TV series eight months of the year.
